Relationship problems, like any other problems, stem from the foundation. Let’s get to the bottom of it. Is Christ there? Christ should be the foundation of any relationship. Your relationship and a three strand cord are related.
Having relationship problems? Who is the head of your relationship? Are you married or living in sin? Are you both followers and believers in the gospel of Jesus Christ? Neither of you? Just one? These questions will disclose the foundation of your problems.
Christ must be the head of your life, your relationship, and your marriage. We are told in Scripture that two can withstand together, but a three strand cord is not easily broken. That three strand cord is Christ, you, your spouse (gf or bf). Without Christ as the head, it can be easily broken. When you marry and the two of you are one, and Christ is one with you, you are a 3 strand cord.
If you are living in sin, expect no blessings. Repent and correct it as soon as possible.
If only one of you is a believer, you will have problems. When you, who are alive, are yoked to something dead, you only run around in a circle until you die. That’s what happens when you are unequally yoked.
If you both are believers, make sure Christ is the head and get in prayer together.
If neither of you are believers, well, start there. Seek the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul and you will find Him.
When chaos ensues, and it will, revenge is not on the agenda. We are not of those that seek harm to others. Vengeance is Mine saith the Lord. Leave room for God’s judgement and vengeance. It’s not yours to execute. You must be blameless and not stain your garments. Besides, it solves nothing. Bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. Fight your battles rightly, in prayer, before the Lord.
Ecclesiastes 4:11-1211 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
