Passover

Passover is celebrated in the first month on the 14th day of the month. This Feast of the Lord is commanded to be celebrated forever. It was celebrated in the Garden, by Jesus, and by the Apostles.

Details of Passover and mentioned in Leviticus 23:4-8
4 THESE ARE THE FEASTS OF THE LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord’s passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
This feast remembers the last plague in Egypt when the Most High executed judgment against the gods of Egypt. They were worshipping chariot gods, plague gods, and the sea god, among others. The judgment “passed over” the children of Israel who applied the blood of the lamb to their doors.

These feasts are rehearsal dinners, like before a wedding! They are rehearsals of what is to come. That is why the LORD has commanded to keep them. So, we will not be deceived and we will know the times and seasons. Every major biblical event happened on a feast day. There is a book written about every major worldwide event happening on a feast day. These are important days. Follow THE WORD of THE LORD.
This is what will come in the future according to Revelation. The wicked will be plucked and burned, but the judgment will passover those covered by the blood of Jesus.
Exodus 12
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord’s passover.
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance FOR EVER.

Their plague gods, chariot gods, sea god, and others gods could perform sorcery and magic tricks, but could not save them. YHWH is the one true God, the Most High God. He created all. The Egyptians were throwing the Israelite babies in the river to keep their numbers in check, working them as slaves… Joseph was long gone and they were afraid of their numbers, even though they had no reason to be. It was wickedness resulting in falling away from YHWH and worshipping other small “g” gods. Why would you want to worship the little “g” gods and not the Most High God? Paul asks the same question:

Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Elements – Strong’s 4747. stoicheion

Can be rendered “elemental spirits,” i.e. spiritual powers or “cosmic spirits”

In other words, you are on the wrong team, the weak team, that is keeping you in bondage to sin.

The Israelites took a bundle of hyssop and dipped it into the blood in the basin at the threshold. Going up, they put it up on the lintel, then touched the two sides of the frame (Exodus 12). Can you see the imagery? Bottom to top, side to side: the motion formed a cross.

Psalm 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
John 19:29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
When John the Baptist said, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29), he understood the Old Testament reference. And in the New Testament we see that Jesus — born in a manager, visited by shepherds, and led to the slaughter — is that lamb sent for us. His death allows the judgement we deserve to pass over us. When we accept Christ, we accept the loving gift of a second chance.

Cain and Abel – Think about this for a moment. Why was Cain’s offering not accepted? Well, we know that he didn’t offer his best. And, there are many theories about this that I won’t go into – the bottom line is that Abel’s offering was accepted and he was shepherd of the flock. It was most likely Passover – yes, I believe that they knew the law before it was written on the sapphire tablets. He would have offered a lamb, a perfect lamb, without blemish.

The little “g” gods worshipped by the heathen demanded human blood sacrifices. Many sons and daughters “passed through the fire”. They killed their own to appease their “gods”, those who rebelled about YHWH. But, YHWH GAVE US HIS BLOOD.

3 Days it took Abraham to walk to Mount Moriah where Jesus would later be crucified. At Golgotha, “land of the skull” where it’s rumored David buried the head of Goliath – where the cross of Jesus would have literally crushed the head of the seed of the serpent. David and Goliath is such a foreshadowing of what was to come. Not by might, but by my Spirit, sayeth the LORD of hosts. David was NOT AFRAID. His ROCK (Jesus Christ), and he had 5 of them (GRACE), crushed the skull of the Giant (a hybrid – Nephilim – of the sons of God and the daughters of men – the fallen ones tried to destroy creation by ruining our DNA).

Once Abraham was at the summit with Isaac, who I presume was 33 years old. Very unlikley he was little child. Abraham was 100 when Isaac was born. Sarah’s death happened right after in the next chapter and Isaac was 37 years old then. If Isaac’s sacrifice is a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, and Jesus was crucified at 33, it would makes sense that Isaac would have been 33 as well. That fits with the timeline of Sarah’s death after those things – about 4 years. But, this is only speculation on my part. YHWH never let the hand of Abraham touch Isaac, who would have willingly laid himself down, like Jesus. I don’t think a 133 year old could forcibly hold down a 33 year old man. Abraham told Isaac that God would provide a lamb! He trusted his God. And, YHWH did provide a lamb. Before Abraham could touch Isaac in any harmful way, he was told to stop. There in the thicket was a lamb caught by his head. Jesus wore a crown of thorns on His head and here is a lamb with thorns on his head waiting to take the place of Isaac. I believe Abraham knew in full that day of Jesus Christ to come.

John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
The Israelites were saved by the blood of the lamb in Egypt.

Jesus is the Lamb.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
1 Peter 13-21
13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: 18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Revelation 5
1And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
Jesus Celebrating Passover. He fulfilled the spring feasts and became our Passover Lamb, Our Sinless Bread of Life, and First Fruits of the Resurrection.

Luke 22
7Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. 8And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. 9And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? 10And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. 11And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 12And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. 13And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
14And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Psalm 40:6-8
6Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Hebrews 10
5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18Now where remission of these is, there is NO MORE OFFERING FOR SIN.
Passover was most likely kept in the Garden. It was kept by Abraham. I was kept by Moses and the Israelites coming out of Egypt. It was kept by Jesus. It was kept by His apostles after His resurrection. If you keep one, you keep them all. You don’t get to pick and choose which Feasts you will celebrate and which ones you won’t. YHWH gave His feasts to be celebrated for ever.

Acts 12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
Acts 18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.
Acts 20:6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
