Read what Genesis 1 says:
Genesis 1:6-9
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
And in Isaiah:
Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
Our Father in Heaven is so close to us. Just look up into the heavens and know that He is just above, watching over you, always. He is so much closer than you think or feel sometimes. He is the creator of all things, your Father, and He promises to never leave you or forsake you.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Deuteronomy 4:31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
One of the first things we need to recognize is that we all need more prayer time. No matter how much prayer time you currently have, you can always use more. When we are in constant communication with our Father in heaven, we have no need to worry about the cares of this world. Find a nice, quiet prayer “closet”, ask for forgiveness for your sins and repent of them, bind the enemy from interfering in your conversation with your Father, ask your Father in heaven to clear your mind and thoughts so you can attune your ears to hear His voice, and pray. Prayers are so powerful and prayers are so comforting. Prayers are how we stay in contact with our Father who we know loves us.
We so easily fall into temptations, sin, doubt…
Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
We need prayer time with our Father to strengthen us. Where we are weak, our Father in Heaven is strong.
In 2 Corinthians 12 Paul speaks of taking pleasure in infirmities for this very reason. To keep himself humble, so others don’t glorify him, to remind him how much he needs to rely on the strength of the LORD.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Jesus said to pray to our Father in heaven in secret and our Father who sees in secret will reward us openly.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Secondly, fear not. We are instructed to not be afraid, to fear not, over and over again in the Bible.
Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
Genesis 26:24
And the Lord appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
The LORD did not leave us comfortless. He sent His Holy Spirit to dwell within us. Remember, the LORD is in YOU! And, seated right above you, ruling and reigning. Have heart and have hope!!
