Lamb Jesus
It’s all about the Lamb. As we near Passover, we reflect on the sacrificial Lamb of God.

Since the beginning, it has always been about the Lamb.  When Adam and Eve tried to cover their sin with leaves, God had to cover them with animal skins instead.  Blood is always required for sin.  I can only imagine that those skins were of a lamb.
Cain and Abel both brought offerings to the LORD.

Genesis 4
2 And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. 3 In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, 4 and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering,
Abel brought the firstborn lamb of his flock, and the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering.

Abraham, in covenant with God, went up to the mountain with his 30 something year old only son, Isaac to lay down his life as a sacrifice to the LORD, foreshadowing Jesus Christ to come. Our LORD does not require blood sacrifice from us, unlike the other gods. Our God gives His own FOR US. Therefore, Abraham’s hand was stopped short. Being in covenant with God, Abraham had to be willing to do what God was willing to do. God provided a Ram, a Sheep on that mountain, with its head caught in the thicket symbolizes our Savior Jesus with the crown of thorns upon His head. Jesus would take that place on our behalf.

Genesis 22:13
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
John 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
During the Exodus from Egypt, the LORD instructed the Israelites to place the blood of the Lamb on their doors, a male of the first year without blemish and no broken bones. The final plague against the gods of Egypt would not affect them. The blood would be seen and those homes covered by the blood of the Lamb would be passed over.

Jesus was without sin/without blemish and suffered no broken bones as the only begotten son of God.

In the final days, those covered the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, will be passed over and nothing by any means shall harm us! 🙌

Exodus 12:13 13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
Exodus 12:27
That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
Psalm 91:5-10
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Hebrews 9
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Jesus is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Jesus accomplished so much on the cross:

-reconciling us back to our husband, The LORD (Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.)

-destroying the works of the devil (1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.)
-defeating Death (1 Corinthians 15:54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”)
-providing The Way back to the Father in Heaven since no one had ascended to heaven before Jesus came (John 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.)
-paying the price for His bride (1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.)
-taking away the sins of the world (John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.)
-prevailing to open the Book and loose the seven seals in Revelation (Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.)

Jesus Became Our Passover Lamb.

1 Corinthians 5:7
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
All Glory, and Honor, and Praise to our King who gave His own life for us when we were yet sinners and by no means deserved it… because He Loves Us.

Revelation 5
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
