Holy Spirit teaches

Welcome to Part 3 of our Holy Spirit series discussing another attribute of The Holy Spirit, Teaching. We believe this will be an 18-Part Series in which you’ll discover who The Holy Spirit is and what He does. Many attributes are given to The Holy Spirit throughout Scripture. He is not a force. He is a person. He is a member of the Trinity, a part of YHWH. He is referred to as a “he”. In Part 1 and 2 of this series, we featured His part in creating, recreating, and convicting. Now, let’s look at how He teaches us in all Wisdom.

John 14

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

Yeshua said that the Holy Ghost will TEACH you ALL things.  There is no need for any man to teach you anything because it is the Holy Ghost that teaches you everything.  Read, listen, discern, pray, and you will receive your answers relating to any subject matter.  Now, I’m not saying to ditch all your Bible studies and research – not at all – BUT learn lightly and let the Holy Spirit lead you in all teaching. Take any questions to The Father in prayer.  Ever read something and your discernment meter goes off the chart?  That has happened to me, too.  I don’t even want you to believe a single thing I write anywhere in this blog.  Let the Holy Spirit teach you wisdom in every thing you see, hear, and read.

Psalm 51

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Wow!  What an amazing passage of Scripture and prophecy!!

We first see that wisdom is taught by the Holy Spirit in the womb.  How amazing is that?  The Lord desires truth (Yeshua is the Truth) from the very beginnings of your life before you even leave your mother’s womb.  You are taught wisdom there.  Remember, when John leaped in Elizabeth’s belly when Mary visited her while pregnant with Yeshua?  They had wisdom, even in the womb.  Let me show you some more Scripture to back this up.

Psalm 71

For you, O Lord, are my hope,
    my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
Upon you I have leaned from before my birth;
    you are he who took me from my mother’s womb.
My praise is continually of you.

Here, again we read that we learn before our physical birth.  Sometimes, I wonder if that is where Deja Vu comes from.  I wonder if we are shown our path before we are born and sometimes we remember that revelation as adults?  Just speculating…

Psalm 17

13 Arise, O Lord! Confront him, subdue him!
    Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword,
14 from men by your hand, O Lord,
    from men of the world whose portion is in this life.
You fill their womb with treasure;
    they are satisfied with children,
    and they leave their abundance to their infants.

Proverbs 2

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

Wisdom is treasure, more precious than rubies, silver, or gold.  He puts it in our hearts, in our inwards parts from the very beginning of our lives in the womb.

Psalm 22:10 On you was I cast from my birth, and from my mother’s womb you have been my God.

From the womb, YHWH has been your God!  We are taught the Truth, Wisdom from the Holy Spirit from the womb.

It even seems that as an infant in the womb, one can not have the ears to hear The Word of God.  It never enters their hearts…

Psalm 58

No, in your hearts you devise wrongs;
    your hands deal out violence on earth.

3 The wicked are estranged from the womb;
    they go astray from birth, speaking lies.
They have venom like the venom of a serpent,
    like the deaf adder that stops its ear,

I want to circle back to Psalm 51, again.  In this next part, which I highlighted in bold, the passage reads:

Psalm 51

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Just amazing prophecy of the free gift of the Holy Spirit.  Again, we see here that wisdom is taught and is on your clean heart.

Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

A clean heart is full of wisdom and free from sin, violation of His laws.  He puts His laws into our hearts.

David asks for a renewed spirit within him, begging for the Holy Spirit to not be taken from him. Who gives the renewal, renewal of the mind, the rebirth?  The Holy Spirit is the free gift of the rebirth.  You must be born again in the Holy Spirit.  David knew this before the free gift was given to all.

John 3

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Then, David asks to be restored unto the joy of thy salvation.

Galatians 5

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance

David knew that he had to be born again into the Spirit to enter into salvation through The Truth, Yeshua.  He knew that sin and iniquity on his heart was absence from The Father and the Holy Spirit and he lamented.

Ephesians 5

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

(Here, David failed in the law.)

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

(And, David did know this, so we get Psalm 51.)

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Here, again, we are told that the Spirit teaches wisdom.  He proves to us what is acceptable to the Lord.

Judges 13

13 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.

And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:

For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:

But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

In Judges 13, we read again The Lord working from the womb!  This is the telling of the birth of Samson.  His mother was even instructed how to take care of herself while Samson was in the womb.  Samson was to be a Nazarite unto God from the womb.  And, I love how it’s Yeshua, The Truth, that comes to tell her this!

Judges 13

24 And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him.

25 And the Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

One more relating wisdom and the Spirit…

Proverbs 1

20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:

21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:

30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

Here we read that the Spirit makes known words of Wisdom to us.  When, you choose not to listen to the Spirit, you will eat the fruit of your own way – not producing fruit of the Spirit.  This hatred of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding only leads to calamity and destruction.  You can’t do things your own way. Yeshua said that without Him we can do nothing.

Seek the Holy Spirit and with it the love of Yeshua and Our Father. Wisdom will enter your heart and it will be cleansed.  Repent of your sins and iniquities and let the Holy Spirit dwell within you, teaching you all things.
